Ark Animal Hospital has been providing service to the San Diego area for over 20 years. Our owner and primary veterinarian, Dr. Lianne Chu has been with the practice since Summer 2008. Dr. John Hetzler continues to work with clients and patients for two days of the week. The doctors and staff are proud to offer our clients and patients loving care. Our Location We are conveniently located in the Clairemont Town Square Shopping Center - across from Pick Up Stix and in the same building as Rita's Italian Ice and Mission Federal Credit Union, right next to Denny's. Although our zip code is 92117, our vets have been caring for dogs and cats in the greater Clairemont area (University City, Bay Park, Kearny Mesa, Linda Vista, and La Jolla zip codes) for many years. We have clients that travel from Escondido, Chula Vista, and even Orange County to bring their precious pets to us for care.

We've been serving our community from this location since 1973. Dr. Hardy purchased the practice in 1986. He is still practicing, along with colleagues Dr. Donald & Dr. Sondhi. The nursing staff is a group of dedicated, compassionate veterinary professionals, led by our RVT Nicole.

Dr. Michael brown has 47 years experience in treating pet animals including “pocket pets” and some exotics. After graduation from veterinary school he completed a residency at Washington State University. He was the owner and director of an American Animal Hospital Association certified hospital for 36 years prior to moving to San Diego in 2004. His goal is to practice the highest quality medicine with compassion with an emphasis on client education.
