Our History

Circle Veterinary Clinic was begun in 1983 by Dr. John L. Wilkins, a long-time Wilmington veterinarian. His son, David Wilkins, joined him in the practice in 1986. Upon John Wilkins’ retirement, David began managing the clinic in late 1987. Dr. Laurita Halbert joined the practice in 2005. The hospital moved to its present location at 1212 E. Newport Pike in August 2009.

Vaccinations:  Core vaccinations of distemper/parvo for dogs and distemper/respiratory for cats as well as rabies vaccines. Elective vaccines including Kennel cough, Lyme, Leptospirosis, and Canine Influenza for dogs as well as Feline Leukemia for cats. Access to a comprehensive range of advanced or specialized tests through an outside clinical laboratory. Many results are received within 24 hours. Radiology including digital dental x-rays. We provide boarding for our clients' dogs and cats:  The cats can have individual cages or a 2 or 3-cage condo. For dogs we have the availability of four different cage sizes as well as runs.
