Our waiting room is surrounded by four exam rooms and a retail store that offers everything from dog and cat toys to premium and prescription pet foods. We’ve used bright colors and pet-friendly seating to make your visit relaxed and easy. Our kennel and grooming areas are clean and well-equipped and our surgical area is state-of-the-art. Of course our greatest feature is our staff. They genuinely care about animals – it’s their passion. They demonstrate that care at every level of service, from our receptionist Claudia who greets you and your pet with the affection of an old friend, to our medical technicians, Dinna and Bev, who provide for your pet in their most critical moments; from Lou’s twenty years’ experience grooming, to our excellent kennel staff - talking to the animals to make them feel welcome. Whether your pet comes in for an exam, medical procedure, acupuncture, massage therapy, chinese herbs, grooming, or boarding, our experienced, qualified staff is here to make the visit as pleasant as possible.

Opened August 7, 2000

After a long association at a prominent Denver animal hospital, we decided to open our own practice, in order to provide the absolute best in Veterinary medicine and overall pet care. Our philosophy is simple: we believe in treating every animal that comes into Pets On Broadway as if they were our own. We give your pet the chance to survive and thrive by pushing our medical expertise to its limits – in dentistry, dermatology, cardiology, internal medicine, orthopedics, neurology, and surgery. We take great pride in what we do – we can’t imagine our lives without animals!

Dr. Sheryl Scolnick

“I can’t see my life without animals.” When Dr. Scolnick opened Pets On Broadway with Dr. Griffin in August 2000, she guaranteed she’d be living her passion. That passion started early, “I probably wanted to be a veterinarian by the age of two.” Her focus continued through veterinary school at Ontario Veterinary College, where she graduated in 1988. She went on to practice in Canada for the next few years. She then worked with Dr. Griffin at Aspenwood Animal Hospital in Denver, for seven years. While her specialty is dermatology, she works with a variety of cases and has a great interest in internal medicine, and acupuncture. She believes strongly in preventative care and a employs a conservative approach to vaccinations. She continues to pursue education and each year attends the American Academy of Veterinary Dermatologists’ (AAVD) conference, to learn the latest treatments. Dr. Scolnick is married to Jay and is raising sons Spencer and Myles. And of course there are her three dogs, Princess, Duke, and Sophie, and her two horses, Tommy and Lambert.

Dr. Mac Griffin

Dr. Griffin believes “because pets can’t speak, we need to speak for them. I call it, ‘pet advocacy.’ I treat all animals, as if they were my own.” His interest in animals developed during summers spent on his grandparent’s Virginia farm. That interest led him to a career in veterinary medicine. After graduating from from veterinary school at CSU in 1983, Dr. Griffin went on to become Hospital Director at Aspenwood Animal Hospital for eleven years where he met Dr. Scolnick. The two opened Pets On Broadway in August of 2000. Dr. Griffin works in all areas of medicine, with a focus on internal medicine, basic surgery, dentistry, and endoscopy (gastrointestinal scoping). To keep current, Dr. Griffin attends yearly seminars on internal medicine and general medical/surgical conferences. He is married to Debbie and along with their son Chase, they have a cat Wilbur, and dogs Harley, and Spencer.
