Dr. Nikki Waltemire recently joined the Banfield Pet Hospital in Mechanicsburg, PA. She earned her Bachelor's Degree in Biology from Shippensburg University, and then a Master's in Laboratory Animal Science from Drexel University. Before entering veterinary school, she worked for 2 years in Philadelphia in biomedical research. Dr. Waltemire then moved to Grand Cayman Island to attend St. Matthew's University for her veterinary degree. She completed her clinical year at Purdue University in January 2015. She is currently pursuing a Master's of Business Administration from Davenport University. Dr. Waltemire's interests include feline medicine and behavior, as well as oncology and dermatology.
Dr. Waltemire is a York County native where she lives with her family and three cats (Benjamin, Maxwell, and Lilian). She enjoys spening her free time running, reading, and spending time with family and friends.
Dr. Heather Kellermann earned her DVM from Ross University, an AVMA accredited school in the Caribbean on a small island named St. Kitts. Dr. Kellermann spent 3 years on the island where she adopted a "Coconut Retriever" named Charlie and 2 island cats named Bella and Abby before finishing her clinical year at Louisiana State University during which time she fell in love with New Orleans. Dr. Kellermann was born in California and raised in southeast Pennsylvania close to the New Jersey border outside of Philadelphia. She attended college at Delaware Valley College in Doylestown, Pennsylvania where she earned her B.S. in Animal Science with a concentration in Livestock Production and Management. Since coming back to the U.S., Dr. Kellermann has adopted 3 more cats. Dr. Kellermann enjoys reading and travelling- she has been all over the U.S., to Puerto Rico, and to Ireland.read more
Dr. Anna Dechtiaruk was born and raised in Baltimore county. She attended Virginia-Maryland Regional College of Vetertinary Medicine and graduated with her DVM in 2007. She began her veterinary career in large animal medicine, working mainly with horses. She switched to small animal medicine for a change of pace, and joined the Banfield team in October 2014. Dr. Anna has collected 4 cats, a labrador, and a thoroughbred. She enjoys hiking, travel, and riding her horse.read more
Dr. Caitlin Ferry joined the Banfield team in June 2015. She earned her B.S. in Biology from Susquehanna University in 2009 and her D.V.M. from Ross University in 2015. She decided to become a veterinarian because of her love for animals since a young age and her passion of medicine. She also enjoys surgery, dentistry, and preventative medicine. Outside of work, Dr. Ferry enjoys spending time family, horseback riding, kayaking and going on long walks with the dogs. Her furry family includes 2 dogs: Kealy and Ava, a cat named Sophia and a horse named Goose.read more
