Dr. Sarah Dougherty
Dr. Sarah Dougherty grew up in Grants Pass where she was active in 4-H, F.F.A. and showing her Arabian horses. She obtained her BS in Biology from Tabor College in Kansas, where she was also a 4 year varsity letter winner in soccer. After graduating from Kansas State University in 2007, the native Oregonian returned to the Portland area to start practice. Following two years in equine practice, Dr. Dougherty joined Banfield in 2009.
Dr. Dougherty is committed to preventive care and her special interests include arthritis management, lameness, physical therapy, and orthopedics. She is a member of the Oregon Veterinary Medical Associate and the American Veterinary Medical Association.
She currently has Bailey (9 yr old Chocolate Lab), Cork (5 yr old cat), and Chico (1.5 yr old Chinchilla). In her free time, Dr. Dougherty likes to play soccer and spend time with her family. She is an avid Oregon State Beavers fan and enjoys taking in a Portland Timbers game at Jeld-Wen Field.
