Jennifer Racz

Jennifer Racz was born and raised on the Eastern Shore in Caroline County, Maryland. She grew up on a family farm with several hundred acres of tillable farmland and a variety of livestock. In 2000, she was accepted to private college in Dover, DE, Wesley where she graduated in 2004 with a major in biology and a minor in chemistry. In 2001, she started volunteering with a local veterinarian, as a veterinary technician in a mixed animal practice and in 2004 became full time. In 2006 she perused her career in research at the University of Maryland in Pediatric Neuroscience for the Department Of Defense conducting microscopic surgeries, as well as advanced surgical techniques; includinganintra-operative video-enhanced surgical approach.
In 2010, she started her veterinary education at the University of Antigua and in 2011 Dr. Racz relocated to Scotland for the following 3 years while completing her veterinary degree. In 2014 she graduated from the University of Edinburgh with a bachelors of veterinary medicine and surgery as a Member of the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons.
In July 2014, Dr. Racz returned to the United States and then became a member of our Banfield Team in September 2014.
Her outside interests away from veterinary medicine include: frequent visits to the eastern shore visiting with family and friends. Dr. Racz also enjoys shooting pool, watching football, reading novels and using her creative side for drawing and crafting.
