Heather Thomas

Dr. Heather Thomas is a native Northwest Houstonian. She received her Bachelors degree in 1998 and her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree in 2002, both from Texas A&M University. She has worked primarily in northwest Houston and College Station, Texas, as a small animal practitioner. Her primary interests are surgery, dermatology, and cardiology.

Dr. Thomas has a son who is a senior in high school. She spends her free time cooking and doing craftwork, including knitting, crocheting and her newfound love, quilting. Her outdoors interests include sailing, camping, and fishing. She is also an avid reader.

She currently has 2 dogs (Cinnamon and Nyko) and a cat (Benny). Her favorite aspect of being a veterinarian is experiencing the human-animal bond and finding new ways to teach families about responsible pet ownership. Her goal is to help people and their pets have many happy, healthy years together by providing pet owners with the education and tools they need to make informed decisions about their pet's health.
