We offer a complete range of veterinary services. One of our main focuses is on preventive care. Routine physicals, vaccines and laboratory tests are done to ensure your pet stays healthy throughout all life stages.
We are fully equipped to accommodate most of your surgical needs, from spays, neuters and de-claws to exploratory surgeries and lump removals. We work together with excellent surgical specialists for more complicated surgeries, such as orthopedic or soft tissue surgeries. We also offer full dental cleanings which include digital x-ray and possible tooth extractions.
We have grooming available daily to keep your pet looking and feeling their best!

Doctors
Dr. Kimber Schnepf
Dr. Schnepf received her DVM degree from Iowa State University and has been with Dakota Pet since 2003. She enjoys being a part of the bond between pets and their owners. She has a special interest in Complimentary Care and has recently started additional training in acupuncture. She shares her home with her husband, Ira, and three sons: Colin, Connor and Devin. When she's not working, she enjoys walking her two Westies, Harper and Gus, watching her sons play baseball, yoga, traveling, and reading. She loves working at Dakota Pet Hospital "we have the best staff anywhere, so competent, caring and enthusiastic."
Dr. Gregg Phillips
Dr. Phillips graduated from the University of Minnesota College of Veterinary Medicine in 2004. Prior to vet school, Dr. Phillips was a professor at the University of Minnesota Medical School, teaching medical students and residents and directing wound healing, muscle regeneration, and anticancer research. He owned and operated a team of sled dogs for over 15 years and has a special interest in working dogs. Time spent on the sled runners, bonding with his dogs, led Dr. Phillips to veterinary medicine. Each winter Dr. Phillips acts as a race veterinarian for national and international sled dog races (Beargrease, Yukon Quest, Finnmarkslopet, White Oak Classic). Dr. Phillips lives in Rosemount with his family, a golden retriever, and a half-crazed Boston Terrier! When not with his children and dogs, he enjoys reading and playing the guitar (loudly and poorly).
Dr. Brenda Harder
Dr. Harder has been working part-time at Dakota Pet since 2004. She received her DVM degree from the University of Minnesota. She enjoys surgery and the problem solving that veterinary medicine requires. She lives in Lakeville with her husband, Don, and 5 children: Ashton, Marissa, Kaylee, Kelson, and Mason. When not working or busy with her family, she is busy on their hobby farm working with the cattle, sheep, and other animals. She has two dogs: Louie, a Boxer, and Odie, a
Dr. Deb McNab
Dr. McNab graduated from the University of Minnesota College of Veterinary Medicine in 2001. She is currently working on her certification in canine rehabilitation. Her hobbies include spending time outside hiking and running with her Border Collie, Mr. Big, and Australian Shepherd, Ranger.
Dr. Carrie Rodman
Dr. Rodman is a 2012 graduate from the University of Minnesota College of Veterinary Medicine and has her B.S. in Kinesiology and a Minor in Coaching from the University of Minnesota. Her special interests in veterinary medicine include dentistry, surgery and internal medicine. She enjoys the on-going relationships involved in the general practice setting and feels very fortunate to be a part of the Dakota Pet Hospital team. Dr. Rodman lives in Inver Grove Heights with her husband, three cats and dog. When not working, she enjoys running (especially the Twin Cities Marathon as a charity runner for the American Cancer Society), cooking and baking, and international travel.
Dr. Anne Karke
Dr. Krake graduated from the University of Minnesota in 1982. She opened Dakota Pet Hospital in her Farmington location in 1984. In 1989 She built and relocated in Lakeville. In 2000 she became ill and has since cut back on her hours at the clinic. She is still at the clinic part-time. Dr. Krake treasures the relationships that she has been able to build with her clients over the years. She lives in Farmington with her three children: Alyssa, Brianna and Ryan. Over the years Dr. Krake has opened her home to many animals. She currently has three dogs: Beau, Aurora, and Faeren, all Golden Retrievers; seven cats, one bunny, and three ferrets. She enjoys gardening, sewing, knitting and reading.
