We offer a full service hosptial for dogs and cats. We utilize great technologies for diagnosis including digital x-ray, ultrasound and comprehensive bloodwork.
We have a highly trained staff of both human and felines. All of our staff have either Associate's or Bachelor's degrees and we use licensed Veterinary Technicians to assist our Veterinarians. Our Veterinarians have over 64 years of combined experience.
We offer luxury cat condos for finicky felines.
Doctors
Christina Little, DVM
Dr. Christina Little is a 2005 graduate of the Ohio State University College of Veterinary Medicine. She joined our staff in 2006 after performing a veterinary internship at Oradell Animal Hospital in Paramus, New Jersey. She grew up primarily in Vermont and her family still lives there now. She loves to travel back east to visit her family as well as take advantage of the ski hills. She also enjoys reading with her kitty, Willowby, gardening and running with her two dogs, Sanders & Savannah. She is excited to move back to Columbus and can't wait for Buckeye fever to begin.
James A. Lehnerd, DVM
Dr. James A. Lehnerd is a 1971 graduate of The Ohio State University College of Veterinary Medicine. He took over ownership of the Forest Park Veterinary Clinic in 1974. Dr. Lehnerd has been very active in his community and state and local professional organizations. He was one of six founding Veterinarians for the Columbus Veterinary Emergency Service which has evolved into MedVet, one of the largest and best emergency and specialty veterinary clinics in the country. His children are grown, so he lives with his wife Susi, 4 cats and 3 dogs, all of which are spoiled rotten! He also enjoys spending time with his two grandchildren, Anthony & Adrianna.
Susan Reed, DVM
Dr. Susan Reed is a 1990 graduate of The Ohio State University College of Veterinary Medicine. She started working at Forest Park while in veterinary school and was hired by Dr. Lehnerd after graduation. She has worked both full-time and part-time in the practice over the years, including filling-in even when she lived in California for a few years. She is also employed Full time at Batelle Research Facility in Columbus. When not at work she enjoys hiking, swimming, gardening, and cooking and spending time with her husband, Tom and their five dogs.
