Doctors
Dr. Jim Amyx
Dr. Jim Amyx graduated cum laude from the Texas A&M University College of Veterinary Medicine in 2000. Upon graduation, he joined the U.S. Army Veterinary Corps where he served for six years. Dr. Jim served as the installation veterinarian at Fort Sam Houston, TX and Fort Sill, OK, providing veterinary care to Military Working Dogs, government-owned horses and soldiers' pets. In 2003, Dr. Jim was deployed to Kuwait and Iraq at the onset of Operation Iraqi Freedom. He is very proud of his military career, especially his Airborne badge and loves to share his experiences. Dr. Jim left the Army in December of 2005, and has since been in small animal general and emergency practice. His home is guarded by his fierce Chihuahua Winnie.
