Our goal is to provide excellent medical and surgical care. We strive to cherish and protect the special bond that exists between pets and their families, and to maintain an atmosphere where our patients can feel at ease.

Our clinic has been providing veterinary services to the community for over 30 years. Dr. Sondra Wand founded Harmony Veterinary Clinic, and passed the torch to Dr. Stephanie Todd and Dr. Keith Payton in 1995. We have been an A.A.H.A-affiliated hospital since 2001. We offer a wide range of routine and in-house diagnostic and surgical services such as laboratory tests, radiographs, and ultrasound procedures. We primarily attend to cats, dogs, and certain exotic pets such as birds, rabbits, guinea pigs, ferrets, and hamsters.

Our veterinary hospital offers a wide variety of medical services, including radiology, ultrasound (abdominal and reproductive), electrocardiograms, and in-house laboratory testing. We incorporate basic consultation on behavioral and nutritional problems into our routine patient care. We are strong advocates for our patients, and help our clients through the sometimes complex web of medical information available today.

Dr. Stephanie Todd

Dr. Stephanie Todd

Dr. Todd graduated from Cornell Veterinary College in 1987. She first came to Harmony Veterinary Clinic in 1990 to work with Dr. Sondra Wand, and the "passing of the torch" took place in 1995. Dr. Todd thoroughly enjoys all aspects of small animal practice. She particularly loves canine reproduction and pediatrics. She married her husband and partner, Keith Payton, in 2001. They have a red-haired boy named Erik, an eight-year-old who has a passion for trains, and an almost-five-year-old girl named Katrina. Dr. Todd enjoys the Adirondacks, hiking, snow-shoeing, languages, antique children's books, and horseback riding. She is currently owned by a Viszla named Hamal, Nimbus the cat, Buster the horse, and a slightly rude cockatoo named Magoo.

Dr. Keith Payton

Dr. Keith Payton

Dr. Payton was born in Ithaca, NY as one of five brothers who grew up with a wrestling mat in their living room and family horseback riding trips on weekends. Much to his parent's surprise, with all his brothers in tree-work and roofing, he loved working with our furry friends and graduated from Cornell Veterinary College in 1988. Dr. Payton is happy working with canine and feline medicine and surgery. He enjoys canine reproductive work, has a special interest in eye problems, and does most of the orthopedic surgery in the practice. He married his wife and partner, Stephanie Todd, in 2001 and they have a son Erik and a daughter named Katrina. Dr. Payton is also the proud father of Emily, who is attending Bard College. He loves computer (games!), snow-shoeing, horseback riding, and spending time out on his tractor with his headset on.

Dr. Florence Jansen

Dr. Jansen worked at Harmony from 2002-2004, then in other various clinics and came back to Harmony in 2010. She graduated from Cambridge University Veterinary School in 1988 with a Vet. Med and became a Member of the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeon that same year. She had her MA in 1989. She also qualified as a DVM since moving to USA 17 years ago. As a new graduate in England, she worked at a mixed practice, doing everything from mice to dairy cows, but now, she only does companion animals. She especially loves doing surgery, but enjoys seeing any patients since all pets have their own unique charm and appeal. She lives with her husband, Floris, and her two youngest children, Florian and Sophie. Her eldest son, Olivier, is at RIT, and her eldest daughter, Isabelle, goes to Cornell U. Dr. Jansen has two Labradors, Diesel and Penny(rescued), two cats, Tramp and Annika, also both rescued, and lots of fish. She recently welcomed a new King Charles Cavalier, Pebble, into her home. She spends most of her free time horseback riding with Sophie, but she also likes biking with her husband, skiing, making jewelry, reading, and cuddling puppies!
