Paul Hinkle, DVM
Dr. Hinkle is originally from Gastonia and moved to Rutherford County in 1993. He earned his B.S. degree in microbiology from N.C. State University in 1989 and later graduated from N.C. State school of Veterinary Medicine in 1993. After graduating from vet school, Dr. Hinkle practiced large animal medicine for 15 years. He later purchased the small animal practice in 2006, and now focuses solely on it. In what spare time he has, he enjoys, hunting/fishing, riding his motorcycle, woodworking, and hiking. Dr. Hinkle has three "babies", his faithful blue heeler Mikey, and two cats, Chaos, and his stalker Prissa.
Roger Tessneer, D.V.M.
Dr. Tessneer graduated from N.C. State University in 1975 with a B.S. degree in animal science. From there he obtained his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from Auburn University in 1980. He owned and operated three practices in Gastonia for many years before coming to Hinkle's Pet Hospital in 2008. He is our dental guru. Dr. Tessneer is an incredible chef and keeps us all well fed. He enjoys cooking, gardening, hunting/fishing and singing in his church choir.
Nick Schuett, DVM
Dr. Nicholas Schuett received his veterinary degree from the University of Wisconsin, Madison. A native of Wisconsin, Dr. Schuett moved to North Carolina in 2011 to begin his career at Hinkle's Pet Hospital. When not practicing veterinary medicine, Dr. Schuett enjoys being outdoors, hiking, fly fishing, and snowboarding. His dogs, Bullet and Lou, are often joining him on outdoor excursions.
Rod Eddings, DVM
Dr. Rod Eddings joined our staff February 2012, and hails from Nebraska. He has practiced for 30 years primarily with pet animals. Having relatives in the Carolinas, Dr. Eddings decided to move to God's country. He enjoys archery, hunting, and fishing. He and his wife are tolerated by their German Shepherd cross, Syrus, and three cats, Sarah, Petey, and Junior.
