Description
Kindness Family Pet Clinic is under new management and we are very excited to share the news with all of our clients. Dr. Darrin Kortyka has purchased the clinic from Dr. Gregory Bean and began working on February 8th. Not to worry, Dr. Bean has agreed to stay on for a while during the transition! Dr. Kortyka and the staff plan to continue with the same great care that Dr. Bean has provided all of these many years. We will be providing more details in the coming days.

Doctors
Dr. Darrin Kortyka
Dr. Darrin Kortyka is originally from Ohio. He went to the National University of Ireland where he graduated with honors in 2001. His interests include internal medicine, pain control, dentistry and dermatology. He also believes in keeping pets healthy and preventing disease transmission from pets to family members.
Dr. Kortyka enjoys spending time at the coast with his wife and two dogs, brewing his own beer and cheering on his beloved Pittsburgh Steelers. Dr. Kortyka’s wife, Leah (who is also a veterinarian) recently gave birth this past January to their son, Gavin. The Kortyka’s also have a cat, Bruce, they brought home from Ireland.
Dr. Bean
Dr. Bean is a 1984 graduate of the Washington/Oregon/Idaho tri-state program, attending both Washington State and Oregon State Universities. He practiced in Nampa, Idaho and Snohomish, Washington before returning to Oregon and settling close to his hometown of Hillsboro. Dr. Greg Bean founded Kindness Family Pet Clinic in 1997. He built the practice to provide top quality and cutting edge care including adding services such as endoscopy, ultrasound and cold laser therapy. He also brings complimentary surgical skills including some orthopedics.
When not at work, Dr. Bean and his wife Robyn enjoy traveling, playing bad golf, and spending time with their three children. Their oldest daughter, Alyson is married and attending graduate school in Physical Therapy; their middle daughter, Katy – a Linfield graduate – is a teacher; and their son, Hayden is a middle school student in Forest Grove. They have two dogs that enjoy visiting the clinic, and two cats that do not.
