A native of Reading from a family of physicians, Dr. Kay S. Larkin received a BS in biology from Villanova University. She then earned her VMD degree from the University of Pennsylvania in 1982. After two years in private practice in southern New Hampshire, she returned to Berks County and has been practicing here since that time.
She opened Larkin Veterinary Center in 1997, to pursue her special interest in feline medicine and surgery, while maintaining personalized care for her canine patients in a relaxed, friendly atmosphere. Dr. Larkin has three children, Jennifer, Thomas and Peter. Jen is pursuing a career in teaching. Tom is an engineer and Pete is involved in the automotive industry. When not caring for your pets, she enjoys horseback riding, photography, traveling and reading.
Dr. Larkin’s spare time is often spent on her passion of riding and showing her horse, Theo, and once in a while you may find her kayaking on a Canadian lake. The rest of her family includes her beloved Corgi mix, Houston and a very special Singapura cat named Alfabeto.
