David MacDonald, DVM
Dr. MacDonald has been practicing at Mountain Shadow Veterinary Hospital since March of 2007. He grew up in Plaster Rock, New Brunswick, Canada and currently resides in Kutztown, PA. Dr. MacDonald received his undergraduate degree from the University of New Brunswick and his DVM degree from the Atlantic Veterinary College. Before joining us here he practiced at Silver Maple Veterinary Clinic in Kutztown.
Dr. MacDonald is interested in behavior medicine for dogs and cats. He enjoys working together with his clients to provide a long lasting, healthy and enjoyable human-pet relationship. In his spare time, Dr. MacDonald is a lover of music and arts and enjoys creative writing as well as cinema appreciation. He also likes spending time with his friends and family including his two cats (Smidget & Kitten) and dog (Penny).
Dr. John Broshkevitch
Dr. Broshkevitch is the newest addition to the Mountain Shadow Veterinary Hospital team. Growing up in northern New Jersey, he now happily resides in the Schuylkill county area. He received his undergraduate degree from Bucknell University in 1985 and undertook his veterinary studies at the University of Pennsylvania, earning his VMD in 1989. Prior to joining us, he practiced in Williamsport, Pennsylvania at the Loyalsock Animal Hospital for the past 22 years.
Dr. Broshkevitch has a strong interest in diagnostic imaging and has been providing ultrasound imaging services for many of the local practices in the north-central Pennsylvania area. Outside of work he enjoys fly fishing and fly tying, basketball, golf and is an avid Philadelphia sports fan! He also enjoys spending time with his two spoiled cats.
