Doctors
Ruth-Ann M. Spinosa, DVM
Dr. Ruth-Ann Spinosa graduated from the University of Florida College of Agriculture and Life Sciences with a B.S. in Animal Sciences in 2001. She continued her studies at the University of Florida, College of Veterinary Medicine and obtained her D.V.M. in 2005. Dr. Spinosa enjoys all aspects of veterinary medicine with a special interest in acupuncture, feline medicine, and dermatology. Dr. Spinosa's husband Chris, is a Clinical with Gore, a medical devices company. They have two small children, Emma and Ian. When not chasing her children, 4 cats, and 2 dogs, Dr. Spinosa is an avid reader, runner, and enjoys attending Gator football games.
Abby J. Amlong, DVM
Dr. Amlong grew up in Florida and received both her bachelors degree in Animal Science and her Veterinary Medical degree from the University of Florida. After working in equine medicine in Ocala, she returned to Gainesville to practice small animal medicine. She has always counted it a privilege to be able to play a positive role in the relationship between clients and their pets though education about medical decisions and care for their pet. That bond is one of her favorite aspects of veterinary medicine. She and her husband have two little boys, 4 dogs, and 2 cats to keep them busy. Outside of Veterinary Medicine she enjoys outdoor activities, travel, reading, and spending time with her family.
