Doctors
Judy L Torchia, DVM
Dr. Judy Torchia grew up in a farming community in Wisconsin and knew at a very young age that she wanted to be a veterinarian. As a child, her next door neighbor was a veterinarian and she began working in a veterinary practice at age 11. Dr. Torchia graduated from the University of Florida College of Veterinary Medicine in 1986. In addition to owning a veterinary practice in Florida for 7 years, she has also taught as a guest professor at the University of Florida. Since relocating to Nashville, she currently resides in the Brentwood area. Dr. Torchia has a beautiful little girl, Clare, and an energetic golden retriever, Forrest.
Rebecca, Veterinary Assistant
Rebecca is one of our full-time veterinary assistants. She has a Bachelors degree in Wildlife and Fishery Science with a concentration on Conservation from Tennessee Technological University. She had experience working in two other veterinary clinics before she joined the Nippers Corner staff. She still hopes she will find a job as a large mammal zoo keeper someday. She shares her home with her 3 cats, LC, Squirt, and Henry, and her pet mouse Harry.
Tiffany, Management Staff
Tiffany has been working in the veterinary field since 1998. She has a BS in Animal Science from M.T.S.U. and two children Simone and Piper. When Tiffany is not at home on her farm she enjoys going to horse shows and beauty pageants with her girls. Her favorite part of the job is teaching people how to care for their pets. She has 2 dogs, 2 cats, 3 horses, 3 chickens, 2 ducks, and a chameleon at home.
Tabby, Vet Assistant
Tabby has 7 years of experience in the veterinary field. She is a former Marine Corps Motor T driver. She loves to help sick and wounded animals return to their homes well again. She shares her home with 3 beagles and a snake.
DJ, Kennel
This is his first job working with animals and he says his favorite part is working with all different kinds of animals and how they are mostly well behaved
J. David, Reception
David has 19 years of animal experience. He has worked with animals of all shapes and sizes from being a kennel assistant all the way up to a surgical assistant. David loves seeing the joy in people’s eyes when they talk about their four-legged friends. He shares his home with his best friend, Jaxs, a fox terrier.
Danielle - Groomer
Danielle has had a love for animals her entire life. She has been grooming since 2009 and has made it her passion to provide excellent care, customer service, and quality grooming. She keeps busy at home with her husband and 4 children and their 2 dogs, Aspen & Boston
Jennifer - Reception
Jennifer moved to Nashville from Chattanooga in 2013. She loves animals and has worked in small animal medicine as well as speciality emergency medicine for over 10 years. In her spare time she enjoys being outdoors and can not wait to get settled in and rescue a furry friend!
Allison - Vet Assistant
Allison moved to Nashville several years ago after growing up working in her father's vet clinic in Maine. She loves working with animals of all types and sizes. She shares her home with her 2 dogs, Beatrix & Sadie and her 2 cats, Dylan Louise & Tulee Marie.
