Dr. Susan Jones, D.V.M.
Dr. Susan Jones grew up in South Dakota. Her grandfather, Howard Wood, was the Sioux Falls track and field coach who started the Dakota Relays. Dr. Jones graduated from Iowa State College of Veterinary Medicine in 1982 and opened Noah's Ark Animal Hospital in November 1988. She has been active in the SDVMA, serving as president of the association in 2004. When not practicing veterinary medicine, Dr. Jones enjoys painting, knitting, and spending time at home with her dogs - Munchie and Spot.
Jill, Business Manager
Prior to becoming Business/Office Manager at Noah's Ark Animal Hospital in July 2008, Jill Swank had been bringing her various kitties to Doctor Jones for over 20 years. Jill holds a BA and a Masters degree in Theatre and before coming aboard The Ark she and her husband, Jan, managed the Black Hills Playhouse. Her grown son, Tyler, lives in New York City. Jill is a member of Actors' Equity Association and The National Union for Actors and has appeared in over 50 stage productions in Indiana, Oregon, and South Dakota. Currently owned by two cats (Lucy and Mabel), Mrs. Swank loves working with the Ark's clients, staff, and animals. Especially the animals.
Laura Holien has been with Noah's Ark Animal Since early 2007 and holds a Certificate in Veterinary Assisting and a BA in Business Management from N.A.U. A native of Minnesota, she is a married mother of two. The Holiens boast 5 furry family members - two Miniature Pinschers named Rocket and Blaze, an Austrailian Sheppard mix called Journey,a Labrador Retriever Whiskey and one furry feline named Smokey. Her husband is retired military and their family was stationed in South Carolina and North Dakota prior to moving to South Dakota in 2002. Because Laura and her family enjoy spending time outdoors - camping, swimming, and taking scenic drives - they have found themselves to be well-suited to Rapid City and the Black Hills
Teanna Aduddell graduated from North Dakota State University with a Bachelor's Degree in Veterinary Technology/Animal Sciences in 2008 and joined the Noah's Ark team in March of 2009. Born and raised in Rapid City, Teanna returned to the area to be near her family - especially her young niece Abby and nephew Nathan. Teanna's life is under the thumb (dewclaw!) of 4 cats and 3 dogs - Candlewood, Soybean, Gemma, Winston, Ellie, Sprout, and Cinch. If not spending time with her "kids" or dedicating herself to her career, Teanna can be found fishing and hiking.
