Gerald T. Ramsdell, DVM, DABVP

As many of our loyal clients know, Dr. Ramsdell has been the Chief of Staff at North East Animal Hospital for over 16 years. He grew up, and continues to reside in, North East, Pennsylvania. He received his undergraduate degree from Gannon University, in Erie, Pennsylvania, in 1976 and his DVM from University of Georgia in 1988. After veterinary school Dr. Ramsdell spent two years at Ferdonia Animal Hospital before opening the North East Animal Hospital. Our patients are truly lucky to have such an experienced and dedicated veterinarian.

Dr. Ramsdell is a Diplomate of the American Board Veterinary Practitioners. This organization, which recognizes the highest standards of veterinary care, has certified him as a board certified specialist in canine and feline practice. In addition to his certification, his medical interests include ultrasound and orthopedic surgery. He truly believes in delivering the best possible care for his clients and their pets. Outside of work Dr. Ramsdell likes to play golf, and coach Little League Baseball. He also enjoys spending his free time with his family and pets, which include a gorgeous Boxer (Lucy) and three wonderful cats (Alex, Pixie and Teddy).

Meredith Estrich, DVM

Dr. Estrich is the newest addition to North East Animal Hospital's team. She grew up in Titusville, Pennsylvania and is now residing in the Erie area. Dr. Foresther received her undergraduate degree from Allegheny College in 2003 and her DVM degree from Cornell University in 2007. She is enjoying learning about the North East area and also looking forward to getting to know all of the hospital's clients. We are so pleased she chose to join us here at North East Animal Hospital!

Dr. Foresther's medical interests include both internal medicine and wellness medicine. In her spare time she enjoys cooking, wine tasting, and outdoor activities such as horseback riding, hiking, and snowboarding. She also values spending time with her friends, family, and her 2 year old Calico kitty named Maddie who rules the household and loves to play!

Raylene L. Hinely, DVM

Dr. Hinely has been part of the North East Animal Hospital Team since August 1999. She grew up in Bethel Park, Pennsylvania, and now resides in Erie, Pennsylvania. Dr. Hinely received her undergraduate degree from Westminster College in 1989 and her DVM from The Ohio State University in 1994. After veterinary school Dr. Hinely spent several years practicing at veterinary hospitals in Pittsburgh and Erie. We are delighted that she has been here with us for over seven years.

Dr. Hinely's medical interests include internal medicine and dermatology. In her spare time she enjoys ceramics, painting, scrap booking, stamping and hiking. Dr. Hinely also likes to spend time with her friends and family, including her 7-year-old cat named Newman.
