Nicole Witt, D.V.M.
Dr. Nicole Witt is a 2010 graduate of Purdue University School of Veterinary Medicine who joined the Paw Prints team officially in September 2010. She was quite familiar already though with the great clients and people of PPAH as she completed both her internship and externship here previously. Originally from Columbus, IN she spent her undergraduate time in Tennessee where she was able to pursue her passion of playing volleyball for the Bulldogs of Union University. Other interests of hers include spending time with her family and husband Bob and daughter Elliot, playing frisbee with her Weimaraner Rya and Lab mix Duke, and making as many trips as possible to the beaches of either Lake Michigan in Grand Haven or to the east coast banks of North Carolina.
Her final year of studies at Purdue was specifically focused in small animal medicine where she developed a special interest in soft tissue surgery, ophthalmology, and ultrasound. Dr. Witt believes in complete wellness care and is devoted to providing the optimal care tailored to your individual pets' needs whether that be routine vaccinations or a specific medical issue. "I believe in working with both you and your pet in a team-like effort to keep them as healthy as possible!"
Matthew Charney, D.V.M.
Doctor Charney is excited to be a part of the Paw Prints team. A native of Dallas, TX, he received his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from Texas A&M University. He spent his undergraduate years at The University of North Carolina Chapel Hill, where he graduated with distinction with a Bachelor of Science in biology, as well as minoring in chemistry and music performance. It was during his 4th year of vet school that he met his wife, fellow veterinarian Dr. Virginia Charney, and they accumulated their 6 pets (cats: Amalfi, Hollis, and Optimus; and dogs: Sage, Heni, and Bailey).
Upon Virginias acceptance into Purdues veterinary pathology program, the crew packed up and settled in West Lafayette, where they now reside with their young son, Axel.
Doctor Charney has a special love for cats and all things feline medicine, but his other veterinary interests include internal medicine and emergency and critical care medicine. An experienced ER doctor, Dr. Charney hopes to form a bond with each and every patient and client, whether it be for wellness care or in the unfortunate event that your furry family member is not feeling well.
