Dr. Klimovitz assumes the ownership responsibilities and full-time veterinarian position at Perry Hall Animal Hospital. Dr. K was born and raised in Baltimore and received her BS in Animal Sciences from the University of Maryland. She attended Ross University, in St. Kitts where she earned her DVM in 2006. She brings with her a compassion and enthusiasm for veterinary medicine as well as innovative care and services such as stem cell and laser therapy. Dr. Klimovitz recently earned her certificate in Canine Rehabilitation and performs a variety of orthopedic surgeries and post operative rehabilitative therapy.
Her two dogs, Bernie, a Shih-tzu mix rescue and Jackson (Mr. Wrinkles), an American Bulldog keep Dr. K busy outside of the hospital. Her cat, Mini-Cat, now has 2 new brothers, Apple Pie and Chase, to help keep her company at home during the day.
Dr. Ashleigh Baer is P.H.A.H’s newest full time veterinarian and is very excited to be working with the residents and animals of Perry Hall. Dr. Baer is thrilled to be working north of the city once again, as she grew up in Fallston and currently resides in Bel Air. She obtained her DVM from the Virginia-Maryland Regional College of Veterinary Medicine in 2011 after obtaining her bachelor’s degree in Animal Science from the University of Maryland in 2007.
Dr. Baer’s main interests include surgery, wound management and internal medicine. She believes that strong client relationships and client education are the foundations to happy and healthy pets. Dr. Baer spends her free time with her three dogs—Maggie, Koda and Copper (Border Collie, Keeshond and hound mix respectively). She enjoys traveling, cooking, sailing and is an avid Baltimore Ravens, Orioles and Maryland Terrapins fan.
Dr. Amy Brazil is happy to be back in her old neighborhood once again! She was born in Baltimore and has called Perry Hall home since the 8th grade. She graduated from the University of Virginia with a B.S in Cognitive Science and a minor in Spanish.
Dr. Brazil graduated in 2007 from the University of Pennsylvania with her Veterinary Medical Doctorate degree and has been practicing in the Baltimore area for 4 years. The animals of Perry Hall have yet another wonderful doctor with a broad range of knowledge and compassion who will provide exceptional medical care to them! Her Rhodesian Ridgeback, Oyster, likes to take her for long walks in the park!
Dr. Brazil has just recently been accepted into the Johns Hopkins School of Public Health, where she will be completing a one year program which will enable her to focus on her love of veterinary medicine in the public health sector. She will continue to see patients on a part-time basis during Saturday appointment hours.
Dr. Stacey Hicks is originally from Huntington, West Virginia and has been working as a veterinarian and living in the Baltimore area for the past several years. Dr. Hicks graduated from Marshall University with a bachelors degree in Biomedical Sciences and a minor in Chemistry and then went on to obtain her DVM from The Ohio State University College of Veterinary Medicine.
Dr. Hicks has a strong interest in ophthalmology, as well as advanced training in dentistry, so the pets of Perry Hall will be seeing better and giving cleaner kisses with her help! Her focus is on client education and building a lasting rapport with her clients and patients to ensure a comfortable and informative visit.
She brings a great love for pets (and horses) from her upbringing, and her boxer/boston terrier/pittbull mix, Miles helps to keep her skills sharp while she’s at home! Hiking and being outdoors with Miles, making stained glass and exploring the city are where Dr. Hicks enjoys spending her time outside of work.
