Pleasant Valley Animal Hospital in Methuen, MA is a full service companion animal hospital. It is our commitment to provide quality veterinary care throughout the life of your pet. Our services and facilities are designed to assist in routine preventive care for young, healthy pets; early detection and treatment of disease as your pet ages; and complete medical and surgical care as necessary during his or her lifetime.

Having digital radiography has given us the capability of transmitting our images to Veterinary Radiologists for expert opinions when they are needed. In an emergency situation we can get an expert interpretation almost immediately.     Electrocardiography Services:  We provide ECG services on-site.

This area is where x-rays are taken. Our x-ray equipment is capable of taking diagnostic pictures on even the largest of dog breeds. We are licensed and inspected by the state to make sure that our x-ray equipment is safe and well maintained. On the wall to the left is a rack with lead aprons, thyroid shields and gloves.

This room is separated from hospital traffic and is used exclusively for surgical procedures. We have a very well equipped surgical suite. All of our patients are monitored during surgical procedures with pulse oximetry, non-invasive blood pressure monitoring, and electrocardiography.

Dr. William Marcoux

Dr. William Marcoux

Dr. Marcoux is a native of Massachusetts and has been the owner of Pleasant Valley Animal Hospital since 1978. He did his undergraduate work at the University of New Hampshire where he received a Bachelor of Science degree in Pre-Veterinary Medicine with honors in 1972. He went on to Michigan State University School of Veterinary Medicine where he received his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree in 1975 with high honors. He is a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association, American Animal Hospital Association, Massachusetts Veterinary Veterinary Medical Association, and Veterinary Information Network. Dr. Marcoux is married to Brenda (who is also a Veterinarian) and they have 3 children, Meg, Graeme, and Kathleen. Dr. Marcoux's family also includes 2 dogs and 3 cats . When he is not practicing Veterinary Medicine he enjoys playing golf, traveling, going to Patriots games and being with his pets.

Dr Burke joined our practice in January 2010. He achieved his undergraduate degree from Cornell University and his Veterinary degree from the University of Pennsylvania.

Dr Rebecca Mandeville



Dr Mandeville joined our practice in June 2010. She achieved her undergraduate degree at Colby College and her Veterinary degree from Cummings School of Veterinary Medicine at Tufts University. She is a Massachusetts native. She has a Golden Retriever named Rondo and two cats, Pepper and Norman. She enjoys going to Red Sox games and spending time with her family and friends.
