Pet Wellness Services
When you bring your pet to one of the Somerset Veterinary Group's facilities, you can expect not only great medicine but excellent client care from our staff as well. From our doctors to our receptionists, we are passionate about the care and welfare of companion animals and believe we are lucky to be able to spend our careers helping to strengthen the human/animal bond.
Because we expect so much from our staff in terms of client care and medical excellence, we are committed to providing them with continuous training and education. It is our goal that each member of our team is able to educate and communicate effectively with our clients. This emphasis on client care is not just about distinguishing us from other practices, but an important aspect of good veterinary care. We must be good at communicating to ensure our clients not only make informed decisions, but are also able to carry out the doctor's advice once they have returned home.
We also believe that good client care should be knitted with a real commitment to preventative care. As medical professionals, we know that prevention is the best means to protect your pet's health and well being as well as to minimize the lifetime cost of care. This is why we recommend regular nose-to-tail wellness exams as well as appropriate vaccines and preventative dental care.
Somerset Veterinary Group clients also have access to health maintenance services such as specialized eye and ear care, pediatric and geriatric exams, lost pet microchip ID, nutritional counseling, laboratory testing, and more.
Providing our clients with the best that modern veterinary care has to offer also includes caring for an ill or injured companion. Our medical expertise is supported by advanced diagnostic tools such as digital X-rays, ultrasound, electrocardiograms, complete in-house laboratory, tonometry, and more. We also maintain a modern surgical suite with advanced anesthetic administration and monitoring equipment to ensure your pet's health and safety during any procedure. Additionally, our internal medicine expertise includes capabilities for treating and diagnosing a wide range of medical conditions such as diabetes, kidney disease, thyroid disease, Cushing's disease, Addison's disease, and more.
In all that we do we strive to provide your pet with the best medical care possible while treating each and every one of our clients with courtesy and respect.
