Dr. Bates

Dr. Bates

Dr. Cindy Bates, DVM knew from childhood that her calling was to care for and protect our companion animals. She moved to Texas from Daytona Beach, Florida in 2001 after obtaining her veterinary degree from the University of Florida College of Veterinary Medicine. Dr. Bates practiced general medicine in San Antonio, Texas for eight years. Her desire to live in the vibrant city of Austin led her to join our team at Spicewood Springs Animal Hospital in November 2009. Though Dr. Bates has special interests in internal medicine, dentistry, and management of chronic pain, she most enjoys helping her clients foster the human-animal bond. In her time away from the hospital she enjoys traveling, wine, and live music with her husband Michael. Their two dogs, Chiquita and Jezebel, and two cats, Cricket and O.P., complete their family.
