Telegraph Road Animal Hospital has been in the community since January 1996. Between our two full-time doctors we care for dogs, cats, rabbits, birds, reptiles, goats, pot belly pigs, guinea pigs and other pocket pets.
In addition to an excellent standard of care. our support staff strive to educate our clients while providing a welcoming atmosphere that maintains close client relationships and strong animal bonds.

Doctors
Dr. Rebecca Owens
Dr. Owens is a 1995 graduate of the University of Florida College of Veterinary Medicine. She is a Baltimore native and 1987 graduate of the Catholic High School of Baltimore. She earned her B.A. degree in Biology from Notre Dame University, also in Baltimore. She has 17 years of small animal/exotic experience. Most recently she owned an emergency clinic in Florida doing exclusively small animal critical care and ER work. Prior to the ER arena she worked at a small animal family veterinary practice in Florida for several years. She practiced in Maryland at the Glymont Veterinary Clinic in Charles County. She and her family are very happy to be returning to Maryland. They enjoy going to Orioles games and having crab feasts with the family �down the ocean�!
Dr. Owens is married and has two sons, one daughter, a corgi and two cats.
Dr. Lisa Mendenhall
Dr. Mendenhall graduated from the Texas A&M University College of Veterinary Medicine in 2008. Whoop! Her undergraduate schooling was completed at Old Dominion University with a B.S. degree in Biology. After graduating with her DVM, she worked at a clinic in Ohio for the first 3 years before joining us in 2011. Her main focus is small animal medicine and surgery. She lives here with her husband and their 3 dogs.
