Dr. David Brunner will open the Broad Ripple Animal Wellness Center in March 2008 with a commitment to offering only the highest quality integrative veterinary medicine and complimentary services possible, coupled with compassion and extraordinary customer service. Dr. Brunner will be joined by Dr. Elizabeth Murphy, Dr. Christine Heinz, Dr. Steven Nichols, and a group of highly educated, highly trained and enthusiastic support staff all firmly believing in, and supporting this commitment to integrative veterinary medicine.

Dr. David Brunner
Dr. R. David Brunner, DVM is the owner and founder of the Broad Ripple Animal Clinic. He received his DVM degree from Purdue University School of Veterinary Medicine in 1977 and opened The Broad Ripple Animal Clinic in 1981.
His commitment to offering only the highest quality veterinary medicine possible, coupled with compassion and extraordinary customer service has won the BRAC nationwide recognition and respect within the veterinary community. He is a member of many veterinary organizations including the Indiana Veterinary Medical Association, the American Veterinary Medical Association and The American Animal Hospital Association. He is a past president of the Indianapolis Humane Society and continues to support their efforts as well as those of several other animal organizations.
Dr. Brunner enjoys and excels at every aspect of veterinary medicine, but has a special interest in Endoscopy and Surgery.
Dr. Brunner lives in Indianapolis and has 2 wonderful daughters, Molly and Kendall. Noel, his beloved Black Lab, usually comes to work with Dr. Brunner and oversees the running of the clinic.
Dr. Brunner's philosophy of veterinary care is based on the Golden Rule: "Treat others and their pets as I and my own pets would want to be treated."
Brad Phifer, CPDT
Brad Phifer became a Certified Pet Dog Trainer (CPDT) through the Certification Council of Pet Dog Trainers. He is a professional member of the Association of Pet Dog Trainers (APDT) and the International Association of Animal Behavior Consultants. Brad completed the Purdue University DOGS! Course in 2003. He managed the animal behavior program and canine training school for the Humane Society of Indianapolis from 2002-2007 and was voted the "Best Dog Trainer" in Indianapolis by Indy Tails Pet Magazine in 2006. Brad regularly attends and hosts continuing education workshops for animal behavior professionals.
Brad grew up in Tipton,Indiana and now lives in the Broad Ripple area. He is active in AKC Conformation shows and professionally handles many breeds including Basenjis, Poodles,Wheaten Terriers, Afghan Hounds, and many others. Brad shares his home with 5 dogs and 2 cats.
