Dr. Melody Conklin is originally from Youngsville, PA in Warren County. She obtained her BS from the Pennsylvania State University, University Park , majoring in Animal BioScience, with a minor in Wildlife and Fisheries Science. Dr Conklin then attended the University of Pennsylvania, obtaining her VMD in 2007.
Dr. Conklin has worked in general practice in the Reading area since 2007. Her special interests include feline internal medicine and parasite prevention.
Dr. Conklin shares her Sinking Spring home with 4 cats, 1 dog, and 2 gerbils.
VMD, Medical Director, University of Pennsylvania
Dr. Scott Fausel received his VMD from the University of Pennsylvania School of Veterinary Medicine in 1989. He completed four years of concurrent postgraduate training in Pharmacology at Penn. Dr. Fausel divided his time over the next eight years among general practice, emergency medicine, diagnostic imaging, and teaching Pharmacology and Radiology for a veterinary technical college program. Between 1999 and 2010 he was Medical Director and saw referral cases in cardiology and ultrasound at Newark Animal Hospital, a 24/7 Emergency & Specialty hospital in Delaware. Dr. Fausel moved to Berks County in 2010 to become Medical Director at Berks Animal Emergency Center, where he continued his referral work in cardiology and ultrasound, and anchored the emergency service. He Joined VCA Cacoosing as Medical Director in March 2015. Dr. Fausel enjoys performing music, playing chess and duplicate bridge, mountain biking, tinkering with electronics and computers, and spending time with his family including 5 cats, Great Dane, and French Bulldog.
DVM, Associate Veterinarian, University of Georgia
Dr. Chan graduated for the University of Georgia College of Veterinary Medicine in May 2008. Dr. Chan also received her Bachelor's in Microbiology from the University of Georgia. Her special interests include behavioral medicine and veterinary acupuncture.
VMD, Associate Veterinarian, University of Pennsylvania
Dr. Chris is a York County native, growing up in Seven Valleys and attending Dallastown Area High School. From there he attended the University of Delaware and graduated in 2006. He received his medical training at the University of Pennsylvania Veterinary Medicine and graduated as a large animal major in 2010. Afterwards, he practiced bovine medicine in the Santa Barbara area of California before returning to Pennsylvania to practice small animal medicine. His interests include fishing, camping, disc golf, and beekeeping.
