Dr. Peter Baumwell, DVM
Medical Director
School: University of Guadalajara
Dr. Baumwell was born and raised in New York. As a child he decided to follow in his father's footsteps and become a Veterinarian. He graduated from the University of Guadalajara in 1979. He practiced in New York until 1982 when he moved to Florida. In 1988, Dr. Baumwell started his own practice, Central Park Animal Clinic. He currently resides in Plantation with his wife of 23 years. The Baumwell's have two grown children. The family pets include: "Mikey" a cat, "Captain Sig Hansen" a Shih-tzu and "Stella" a Poodle mix.
Dr. Janielle Vergne, DVM
Associate Veterinarian
School: Louisiana State University
Dr. Vergne was born and raised in Puerto Rico. She received a bachelor's degree in Biology from the University of Puerto Rico, and then pursued her childhood dream of becoming a veterinarian. She received her degree in Veterinary Medicine from Louisiana State University (Geaux Tigers!) in 2002. She is married and recently gave birth to her first child. She has a full house with 2 dogs (Harley Jane Davidson and Waldo Bad Boy Bob) and 4 cats (Pancho, Diego, Cleo and Alex)
Dr. Jessica Carbonell, DVM
Associate Veterinarian
School: University of Tennessee
Dr. Carbonell was born and raised in South Fl. She received a bachelor's degree in Biology at FAU and then received her degree in Veterinary medicine from the University of TN. Dr. Carbonell is married and has a son. Her pets include "Moka" a mini Dachshund, "Bailey" a Dande Didmont and "Sierra" a Catahoula.
Dr. Jodi Harkavy, DVM
Associate Veterinarian
School: Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine
Dr. Harkavy was born in Niles, Illinois and raised in South Florida. She attended the University of Florida and obtained a BS in Animal Science. She graduated from Ross University Veterinary School with Honors in 1991. Dr. Harkavy lives in Coral Springs with her husband and 2 daughters. Her pets include: Amber (Golden Retriever), Jumper (Russian Blue), and Sephira( Bearded Dragon). Dr. Harkavy enjoys water and snow skiing, gardening and family travels
