Bridgette Houssen
Associate Veterinarian
DVM, University of Prince Edward Island
Dr. Houssen graduated from the Atlantic Veterinary College in Prince Edward Island, Canada in 2007. In 2008 she completed a rotating internship for small animal internal medicine and surgery at the California Animal Hospital in Los Angeles, California. Dr. Houssen went on to work as an emergency and critical care veterinarian in Rhode Island and Massachusetts for the next 3 years before joining the VCA Hanson Animal Hospital Team in 2011. Her special interests include small animal internal medicine, geriatric medicine, and emergency care. In her free time she enjoys traveling, outdoor activities, and spending time with her spouse, dog, and two cats.
Joanne Oscar
Associate Veterinarian
DVM, Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine
Dr. Oscar did her undergraduate studies at Lehigh University where she got a B.S. in Biology. She obtained her Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine from Ross University and completed her clinical year at the University of Minnesota. She moved to Massachusetts in 2004 when she started working at Hanson Animal Hospital (now VCA Hanson). She sees mostly dog and cats and the occasional rabbit or pocket pet.
Thomas Finney
Medical Director
DVM, Tufts University
Dr. Finney has been practicing veterinary medicine for over 20 years and is in his 14th year here at VCA Hanson Animal Hospital. Dr. Finney is happily married and the father of 3 children. He thoroughly enjoys teaching and outdoor activities.He has taught at a high school and junior high school at a christian summer camp for over 5 years. He also has coaching experience in soccer and softball and teaching experience in drama in his town and for the Boy and Girl Scouts of America. He is an avid hiker and camper. He enjoys performing small animal surgeries and has great experience in clinical medicine including oncology, microbiology, and exotic medicine.
