Description

Meet the Owners: We look forward to welcoming you and your pets.
Everyone on our staff believes the better we get to know your pets, the
better we can provide the best possible healthcare for them. In fact,
when you come in, you'll see exactly why our veterinarians are praised
for their kind and thorough care. We'll give you and your pet all the
time you need, and never rush through an exam. We'll also carefully
track the course of your pet's care, which is so important to your pet's
long-term health. In every case, you'll be served by experienced,
knowledgeable members of our staff. Our veterinarians, veterinary
technicians and other pet-friendly personnel are trained to the highest
standards. Their knowledge of the latest veterinary medicines and
procedures ensures that all our pet patients get the best in prevention
and healing methods.

History: Our friendly, professional staff is made up of dedicated
individuals who have made it their mission to help pets live long,
healthy lives. To be true to this mission the hospital team relies on
several individuals, where each team member is equally important in
helping us deliver the best patient and client experience for both you
and your pet. And if things get very complicated, we are fortunate to
have access to the nation's largest network of VCA veterinarians and
board certified specialists. In a word: teamwork! Teamwork is a constant
in our daily practice. From the very first person you speak to to the
person who checks you and your pet out, our team of pet lovers works
cohesively to create a warm and welcoming experience for both you and
your pet.

Specialties: We provide veterinary services for every stage in your
pet's life, from her first shots to a lifetime of preventive care to
keep her happy and healthy. Our services don't end at our hospital
doors. As a member of the VCA family, our veterinarians have access to
extensive medical resources, not the least of which is the VCA knowledge
base, which allows our doctors to tap into the collected knowledge of
over 2,000 VCA veterinarians. And if your pet ever needs truly advanced

Christopher Blum

Medical Director
School: University of Pennsylvania
Originally from North Carolina, Dr. Blum received his B.S. in Biology from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and a M.S. in Physiology from North Carolina State University. Dr. Blum then attended the University of Pennsylvania's School of Veterinary Medicine and graduated in 2005. After practicing for a year in the suburbs of Philadelphia, Dr. Blum and his wife moved to Colorado where he joined a small animal practice in Golden. Suzie Friedman

Associate Veterinarian
School: Colorado State University
Dr. Suzie Friedman graduated from Colorado State University in 2010, and completed a rotating internship at VCA Newark Animal Hospital in Newark, Delaware in 2011. After being a mental health therapist for approximately 10 years, Suzie took on the challenge of pursuing her life long dream of becoming a veterinarian. Suzie loves her second career and can't imagine doing anything else. Suzie practiced in Alaska as an Associate Veterinarian for two years until the Colorado Rockies called her and her husband Josh back home. Suzie and Josh are proud parents of a very large standard poodle named Bert who is the center of their universe, and generous enough to share his home with them. In his spare time, Bert loves taking Suzie and Josh hiking, back-packing, cross country skiing, and simply running around like crazy.
