Teri Schweiss, DVM
Medical Director
School: University of Minnesota
Dr. Teri Schweiss is a 1991 graduate of the University of Minnesota College of Veterinary Medicine. She practiced at and co-owned a five doctor small animal and exotic pet veterinary practice in the Minneapolis area for eleven years prior to moving to South Dakota to raise her family. After six years in private practice in South Dakota, she relocated to Houston where she worked at the Houston SPCA before joining the team at VCA Spring Branch Animal Hospital. Dr. Schweiss' professional interests include all manner of exotic pet medicine and surgery, shelter and animal welfare medicine , and dentistry. Outside of her professional life, Dr. Schweiss enjoys her role as an active mom of three children. Her two sons and a daughter keep her active in sports, scouting and school. The family also shares their home with a collie, three cats, a Senegal parrot, a cockatiel and a ball python.
Karen Woodard, DVM
Associate Veterinarian
School: Texas A&M University
After graduating Cum Laude from Texas A&M College of Veterinary Medicine in 2006. Dr. Woodard spent 12 months at a Small Animal Internship at VCA Veterinary Referral Associates in Gaithersburg, Maryland. She has been with VCA Spring Branch Animal Hospital since August 2007 becoming a very important part of our practice. She attended the Tennessee Course for Certification in Canine Physical Rehabilitation in the Summer of 2010. She is now able to offer her patients expertise in physical rehabilitation techniques including therapeutic ultrasound, neuromuscular stimulation, therapeutic exercise, etc. She has been married since Thanksgiving 2004, and has 3 boys at home.
Robin L. McConaughey, DVM

School: Louisiana State University
I am a 1985 graduate of Louisiana State University, School of Veterinary Medicine. My interests are small animal internal medicine and soft tissue surgery. Outside of the clinic I enjoy time with my family and Irish setters. Additionally, I enjoy my hobbies including cycling and running.
