Redondo Shores Veterinary Center

22. Redondo Shores Veterinary Center

701 S Pacific Coast Hwy, Redondo Beach, CA 90277

We are a friendly veterinary center with the family pet in mind, and comfort being the central theme for all concerned. The Redondo Shores Veterinary Center has been at this location since October 2004. Prior to opening, Dr. Yelinek provided house call services to the South Bay and Los Angeles communities for more than 20 years. Although we now have our own facility to call "home," we still recognize the necessity for home visits.

For the comfort of our patients while staying at the Redondo Shores Veterinary Center, we have separate dog and cat patient wards. We are also equipped with respiratory, blood pressure, oxygen, and heart rhythm monitoring devices, as well as a separate isolation ward.

This full service hospital also has the ability to refer to local specialists in the area if needed.

We're pleased to offer the following services in our Redondo Beach Veterinary Clinic:

Appointments

Our appointment book is computerized which allows us to efficiently make appointments for you and your pet. Our receptionists and team will attempt to accommodate all requests to the best of our ability. Emergencies are accepted anytime our clinic is open. If you feel you have an emergency with your pet, please call us or come to the hospital immediately. If possible it is best to call before coming in so that a staff member can advise you on your particular emergency.

Emergency & Urgent Care

We have a veterinarian and personnel on duty 6 days a week who are trained and equipped to handle any urgent care your pet has. Usually an emergency team consists of at least one veterinarian and several technicians working together to save a pet's life. Emergencies can be things such a snail bait poisoning, hit by car, and chocolate ingestion. If you ever feel that your pet needs emergency treatment do not hesitate to call or come in immediately. If possible it is best to call before coming in so that a team member can advise you on your particular emergency.

We are also available for urgent care when the condition is not life-threatening, but you feel your pet needs to be seen before you are able to get an appointment. Our veterinarians will work to "squeeze" you in between scheduled appointments. When you arrive, our receptionists will be able to give you an estimate on how long you may have to wait in order to be seen.

Types of Pets Seen

Because a large number of veterinarians practice at Redondo Shores Veterinary Center, we can care for many types of pets:

Because our pets can’t tell us how they feel, a regular physical examination is a very important piece of your pet’s health care. Newport Animal Hospital recommends a complete nose-to-tail physical examination at least once a year, though more frequent exams are encouraged. Newport Animal Hospital is also very proud of the medical and surgical services we are able to offer our clients that have exotic or pocket pets such as birds, reptiles, turtles and tortoises, rodents, rabbits, and other small mammals. These animals’ healthcare needs are often quite unique and require a veterinary practice with the experience and expertise to ensure they live long, healthy and happy lives.
