In preparation for the procedure, your pet will receive: Comprehensive physical exam by the veterinarian Pre-anesthetic bloodwork Premedication to easy anxiety and to smooth induction of anesthesia Placement of an intravenous catheter to deliver medications and fluids that support blood pressure and organ function during anesthesia This all needs to be complete BEFORE your pet's scheduled procedure time.
