Dr. Elizabeth Tullett
Dr. Elizabeth Tullett

Allen Heights Veterinary Hospital's co-owner and managing veterinarian, Dr. Elizabeth Tullett, has been working in the animal health care field since 1986. Elizabeth earned an associate degree in Veterinary Technology in 1988 and worked as a technician from 1986 to 1993. Dr. Tullett was awarded the degree of Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from Michigan State University College of Veterinary Medicine in 1997. Her special interest while in vet school was in birds, specifically raptor medicine and surgery. She was the MSU Wildlife Rehabilitation Ward Coordinator while in vet school and was awarded the Zoo & Wildlife Award in 1997. After graduation Elizabeth relocated to Springfield Massachusetts to complete a 13 month internship at Boston Road Animal Hospital. She fell in love with western Massachusetts and decided to stay here, accepting a position with the Boston Road Animal Hospital group of satellite clinics. Dr. Tullett has been an associate veterinarian at South Hadley Veterinary Clinic since 1998. From 2003 til May 2007 she was South Hadley Vet's managing veterinarian. In June 2007 she and her husband purchased Allen Heights Vet Hospital.
Her professional interests include general wellness/preventative medicine & surgery, some exotic and small mammal medicine and a budding appreciation for alternative therapies. In 2003, Elizabeth spent a week volunteering with the Samana Project, a group of veterinarians offering veterinary services to disadvantaged people in the Dominican Republic. She has also volunteered for the feral cat spay day program through the Dakin shelter.
During her free time Dr. Tullett enjoys traveling, hiking (with her dogs) and kayaking. She has a dedicated yoga practice, including teaching a yoga class weekly, and she is certified level 2 Reiki practitioner. Her pets include a Boston Terrier named Lilly, a short, brown mixed-breed named Padme, a chihuahua named Trixie, a corn snake named Maize, a cockatiel and 6 finches.

Dr. Claire Blanchard
Dr. Claire Blanchard

Dr. Blanchard Gulick graduated from the University of Pennsylvania Veterinary School in 1975. She interned one year at Henry Berg Memorial Hospital in New York City. She held various jobs around New York until 1978 when she moved to the Berkshires to start a family. Dr. Claire owns the Bilmar Small Animal Clinic in Great Barrington. She is the mother of two lovely girls, her youngest was married in Sept '07. She has two dalmations and one miniature schnauzer, and a cat named Fraggle.
