Dr. Esquivel grew up on a ranch near the Pecos River in Dexter, NM. At the age of six, she knew she wanted to be a veterinarian. Dr. Esquivel attended Colorado State University to complete her bachelor�s degree in equine sciences as well as her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine. In 2005, she joined the Banfield team as a veterinary student in the summer job program. Dr. Esquivel moved back to New Mexico and began working with the hospital team at Albuquerque in May 2008 as an associate veterinarian. Her medical interests include preventive care, soft tissue surgery, and dentistry. With a special interest in integrative veterinary medicine, she holds certifications in both veterinary medical acupuncture and canine physical rehabilitation. Dr. Esquivel enjoys spending time at home with her husband, working in the garden and taking care of her dogs, cats, chickens, and horses.read more
Dr. Phaybouth is originally from Laos, but Albuquerque has been her hometown since she was a young girl. She received her undergraduate and graduate degrees from the University of New Mexico. She then attended veterinary school at Colorado State University and received her Doctor of Veterinary degree in 2009. She joined Banfield after graduation and moved to the Mercantile location in January 2012. She is married with three children, two boys and a girl. Her special veterinary interests are in dentistry, soft tissue surgery and practice management.read more
Dr. Zeigler began her veterinary career at Pennsylvania State University where she earned a bachelor's degree in animal bioscience in 2005. She then attended Virginia Maryland Regional College of Veterinary Medicine where she tracked public corporate medicine. In 2007, Dr. Zeigler was selected as a Health Professional Scholarship recipient by the United States Air Force and in 2009, received her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine and was appointed as a Captain in the United States Air Force. Dr. Zeigler completed two tours as a decorated active duty United States Air Force Public Health Officer and in 2013, she received an honorable discharge and joined Banfield. Dr. Zeigler received her Master of Public Health from the University of Iowa in 2017. In her free time, she enjoys the mountains of Albuquerque hiking, skiing, and snowshoeing. She shares her life with her husband of nine years, Matthew, and two quirky kitties, Alfalfa and Poolie.
Dr. Reger grew up in Jacksonville, Florida. She attended the University of Florida where she majored in biology, and went on to the University of Florida College of Veterinary Medicine, graduating in 2015. After a year-long rotating internship (small animal medicine and surgery) at Capital Veterinary Specialists in Tallahassee, she and her husband made the drastic move to Albuquerque, where she has been practicing ever since. Her professional interests include endocrinology and, as a Florida native, parasitology and infectious disease. She lives in Albuquerque with her husband and their adopted pup, Charlie. She remains a huge fan of the Gators despite the move, but is loving the change of scenery!read more
Dr. Cassady is originally from Canada and has lived in Albuquerque for the past 10 years. She is married with 2 step children and 3 dogs, and her interests involve exploring NM, gardening, and athletic challenges and adventures with friends and family.
