Dr. Marie Bertman
Dr. Marie Bertman

Dr. Bertman joined the Banfield Culver City team in October 2012. She obtained her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from the University of Wisconsin Madison after receiving her bachelor's degree with honors in Biomedical Engineering at Milwaukee School of Engineering. She worked at a small animal practice in the Chicago area for five years before relocating to an AAHA-accredited hospital in Moscow, ID for two years. Her major interests include internal medicine and soft tissue surgery. Dr. Bertman and her husband, Max, share their home with a feisty rat terrier named Piper. They love the weather and all the activities there are to explore in California. Outside of veterinary interests, Dr. Bertman enjoys running, reading and travelling.

Dr. Sandy Park
Dr. Sandy Park

Dr. Sandy Park was born and raised in the suburbs of Chicago. She received her undergraduate degree in mechanical engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and worked as an IT specialist for several years before pursuing her dream of becoming a veterinarian. She then received her veterinary degree from the University of Wisconsin in 2007 and completed a one-year rotating internship in small animal medicine and surgery at Red Bank Veterinary Hospital in New Jersey. She worked in emergency medicine and general practice in New York City for four years before moving to Los Angeles in 2012. She currently resides in Redondo Beach with her husband, toddler son and three kitties named Skippy, Nori and Elsa. She enjoys knitting, crocheting and reading in her free time.
