Dr. Hoffman
Dr. Hoffman

Dr. Crystal Hoffman grew up on the �Jersey Shore� and graduated with high distinction from the University of Rochester. She received her veterinary degree from the Cummings School of Veterinary Medicine at Tufts University in 2010. Following veterinary school, Dr. Hoffman completed an internship in Florida prior to completing a medical residency and master�s degree in June 2014 from Virginia Tech.

Dr. Hoffman�s previous veterinary experience has taught her to treat every pet as if it were her own, and to communicate effectively with clients. She strives to provide compassionate care to all of her patients.

In her free time, Dr. Hoffman enjoys spending time with her husband, two cats and two dogs, riding her horse, running marathons, and baking.

Phillip Washington

Dr. Washington was born and raised in Virginia. He received his DVM degree from V.M.R.C.V.M. in Blacksburg in 1999. After graduation, Dr. Washington returned to Purcellville where he practiced in a mixed animal practice with his father for 14 years. In 2013, he and his wife, Dr. Kristen Washington, moved up to Pennsylvania to live on the family farm for the next 3 years. During this time, Dr. Washington and his wife both worked in private practice providing needed care to the pets in the area and in January of 2017, they returned to Virginia where they both joined the Banfield team. Dr. Washington has 2 lovely daughters, Sadie and Adalyn, 3 dogs, 3 cats, and 2 horses. In his off time, Dr. Washington likes to spend time with his family, and has been engaged in local civil living history/reenacting for the past 28 years.

Micheal Bissell

Dr. Bissell is originally from Bethesda, Maryland and graduated from the University of Maryland College Park. He started as a veterinarian in a mixed animal practice in upstate New York but soon switched to small animal
medicine on Long Island and New York City.

After returning to the Maryland/ Virginia area with his wife he started and owned a small animal Veterinary practice in Springfield, Va. Dr. Bissell later transitioned to relief and part time work with Banfield. After experiencing Banfield's vision in Preventative care medicine, in January 2017, Dr. Bissell decided to come on with Banfield full time and joined our Herndon team. Dr. Bissell lives in Fairfax Station, has 4 children and 2 dogs (Vito - Golden and Bandit - poodle). In his free time he likes to travel and spend time with his children and grandchildren.
