Thomas Carlisle, Charter Owner

Thom Carlisle was born and raised in Florida. Growing up he always had a love for animals, and even worked as a zoo keeper while in high school and college. He went to the University of South Florida for his undergraduate studies, and received his Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine from the University of Florida in 1996. He joined Banfield in 1997 and has loved becoming the family veterinarian to pets over the years. In 2002 he purchased, constructed and opened the Largo Banfield. A second and third hospital followed in Tallahassee and Panama City. You will always see him smiling, so stop in to meet him and his amazing team!

Angela Backus Cordisco, Chief of Staff
Angela Backus Cordisco, Chief of Staff

Dr. Backus Cordisco joined Banfield in January of 2005. She earned her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine and completed her clinical training at Auburn University in 2004. She loves working with pets and their families to help strengthen the human-animal bond. She lives with her husband, son, three dogs named Jimmy, Jet and Vica, and one cat named Trouble. In her free time she enjoys the outdoors, spending time at the beach, travelling, and spending time with her family and friends.

Ashley Shaw, DVM
Ashley Shaw, DVM

Dr. Shaw has been working for Banfield Pet Hospital since 2002, starting out as a nurse until she attended veterinary medical school. She earned her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine in 2011. Her veterinary interests include exotics, dentistry, ophthalmology, and dermatology. She currently lives in Clearwater, Florida with her cats, Delaney and Sophie; dog, Tony, and bearded dragon, Rocky. She loves working with pets and their families. She is a volunteer for the Humane Society of Pinellas and frequently fosters kittens. In her free time she enjoys travelling, going to concerts, going to Busch Gardens and Disney, and spending time with her family and friends.

Adair Duvall, DVM

Dr. Duvall joined Banfield in 2013 after she attended Ross University in 2010. It was there that she completed her clinical year at Louisiana State University to obtain her DVM in September 2013. She first became interested in veterinary medicine after shadowing her father, who was also a veterinarian. Her special interests include preventive medicine, dermatology and dentistry. She enjoys traveling, cooking and spending time with her loved ones including her dog Coozie.
