Dr. Braunstein is originally from Northern Virginia, and attended veterinary school at Ross University on the Caribbean island of St. Kitts. After graduation and prior to joining Banfield, she completed a one year rotating internship at an emergency and specialty center right outside of Washington, DC. Dr. Braunstein grew up with cats for most of her life, so she is particularly feline friendly - although she is very passionate about preventative care for both cats and dogs. She has one tortoiseshell calico cat at home named Romie. Outside of work she enjoys running, hiking and otherwise enjoying the San Diego weather. Singing and music in general are also great passions of hers. Her childhood dream of becoming a veterinarian started at the age of five, so she is very excited to be fulfilling that dream with Banfield!read more
