"As a young girl in Puerto Rico, I remember having an instant attachment to animals. As I see it, what better way to spend the day than by playing with pets, and at the same time, making a difference in their lives by providing wellness education to their owners. My husband Andy and I met at Purdue University while I was attending veterinary school. We have two wonderful children, a boy and a girl, as well as a Great Dane named Scooby. I enjoy spending time with my family, going to the movies and catching a few zzz's when I have a few extra minutes. I obtained my undergraduate and DVM degree from Purdue University and joined the Banfield team in 2009. Please feel free to stop in. I would enjoy meeting you and your pet family!"read more
Dr. Micich began her journey toward her true passion at a very early age. While other kids were playing dolls, she could be found trying to "fix" her stuffed animals. Her parents were also animal lovers so they had a menagerie of animals including dogs, cats, hamsters and guinea pigs. During a veterinarian visit with her mom, Dr. Micich was excited to discover that she could blend her two favorite things together - animals and science. From there, her career path was set! Dr. Micich attended Purdue University for her bachelor's degree in animal science and received her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from the University of Glasgow. She looks forward to meeting you and your pet!
"There are two means of refuge from the tough times in life: animals and music."
