Dr. Sitaram Parvateneni, (Dr. Sita for short), started working for Banfield in 2011, after working at our Manchester location he arrived at South City in 2012. He attended N.G. Ranga Agricultural University in India and upon obtaining his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine, moved to the United States to work towards his Masters Degree in Immunology. He decided after four years of immunology research at Michigan State University, he was missing something...pets! This is what led him to us, and we have been very grateful to have him here. When he is not high-fiving the South City staff and saving lives, he is visiting Niagara Falls, sharing his spicy food or hanging out at home with his wife Vani, daughter Aarna, kitty Jooju and Labrador Starlee.
Dr. Kristen Wischmann joined Banfield in 2011. She grew up in nearby South County until attending Truman State University for her double undergraduate degree in Biology. After interning at a Big Cat Sanctuary in Arkansas, some graduate school in New Mexico, and shelter work back in Saint Louis, she thought it time to attend veterinary school. She graduated from the College of Veterinary Medicine at the University of Missouri-Columbia in 2011. Her fourth year she received the H. Richard Adams Scholarship in Veterinary Medicine for demonstrating exceptional interest and understanding of the human-animal bond, which remains her favorite part of her job. Describing what she does on a daily basis, Dr. Wischmann has said most simply, "I take care of families." Her specific interests include managing aging pets, canine and feline dentistry, and internal medicine. She loves to spend her free time with her husband Derek, daughter Hazel, son Walter, Hannah the cat, 2 bunnies, and 2 birds.
Dr. Jean Puccinelli joined Banfield in 2015 right here with our South City team and she has been apart of our team ever since. She grew up in Wisconsin until she left to attend St Louis University (slu) and received her undergraduate. From there she left for Ohio State and graduated with her doctorate of veterinary medicine in 2015. Her favorite part of her work day is snuggling all of the pets we see and singing to them throughout the day. She is especially passionate about our smaller breeds and dachshunds as she has one of her own Penny. Her hobby is Irish dancing which she was involved in for 17 years. In her free time she loves spending time with her husband Stephen and their pets a dachshund Penny, Kitty Marco and turtle Stewart.read more

I have been a Registered Veterinary Technician since 2015 and previously worked in emergency care for a year before coming to Banfield. My Favorite dog breed is Pit Bulls and I currently have two of my own whose names are Halle and Nala, and I also have a bearded dragon named Pebbles. My passion for veterinary care is in emergency, client education, and parasitology. In my free time I enjoy taking my pups for a walk or to the dog park, going to movies, reading, and playing video games! I'm excited to meet your fur-babies!read more
I have been with Banfield for 3 years after graduating from Vatterott College as a Veterinary Technician. I have a daughter named Teagan, a dog named Kiki, and a cat named Scarlett. In my free time I like to spend time with my boyfriend, family, and friends. I love to travel as much as possible. I have always wanted to work with animals, I love coming to work to help your pets! I feel very lucky to be able to work with dogs and cats everyday and could not imagine doing anything else.
“I’ve been a registered veterinary technician since 2014 and prior to being at Banfield I worked at a mixed animal practice for roughly 4 years. I love all animals, but currently only have one cat named Dan. He’s a cuddly, long haired grey tabby who loves chasing water bottle lids around my apartment. My favorite areas of veterinary medicine are lab work, client education, and of course getting to love on pets all day! Work is pretty much my life, but when I’m not there I enjoy watching movies (with emphasis on superhero’s and all things nerdy), listening to classic rock, going to amusement parks, and exploring.”
Regina joined the South City Location in mid 2015. She is currently a student at Midwest Institute and plans on graduating with an Associates of Science for Veterinarian Technician next year. She has 5 pets; 2 dogs Bailey and Guinness, 2 cats Khaleesi and Castiel, and a snake The General Patton Slytherie. In 2018 she received an award from her hospital for having the best "pet voice" and wants nothing more than to comfort every pet and give them love while they are here. Her passions in the vet field include client education, preventive care, and laboratory diagnostics. In her free time she enjoys listening to music, reading, spending time with family and friends, and cuddling on the couch with her furbabies while watching TV."read more
