Dr. Evan Kanouse DVM
Dr. Evan Kanouse DVM

Dr. Evan Kanouse was born and raised in northern New Jersey, and went to undergraduate and graduate school at Kansas State University. Upon graduating in 1975, he settled in New Paltz, N.Y., practicing small animal medicine and some equine medicine as well. After four years, he began doing relief work for numerous veterinary hospitals in the Hudson Valley. In 1982, Dr. Kanouse started Brook Farm Veterinary Center with a friend, Dr. Allen Schoen. For several years, while Brook Farm was still beginning to grow, Dr. Kanouse also practiced emergency medicine in Long Island.
Dr. Kanouse is a member of and past president of the Hudson Valley Veterinary Medical Association, certified in Veterinary Acupuncture, member of the American Veterinary Medical Association, and American Animal Hospital Association. He is active in his community and enjoys skiing, hiking, gardening, sailing, and horse back riding.

Dr. Katie Clark DVM

Dr. Katie Clark comes to Brook Farm after over a decade working in various small animal practices in the Hudson Valley. Dr. Clark's demeanor can be described as warm, friendly, and family-oriented. Dr. Katie Clark specializes in critical medicine and works Thursday through Sunday during our Urgent Care hours. An associate veterinarian since early 2015, Dr. Clark also covers additional hours while Dr. Kanouse is out of the office.

Dr. Paul Mihok

Dr. Paul Mihok specializes in holistic medicine and works on Mondays. Dr. Mihok practices traditional Chinese medicine as well as conventional veterinary medicine. By combining Western and Eastern medicine, Dr. Mihok, sometimes referred to as �Dr. Paul,� provides integrated veterinary care through various alternative therapies and acupuncture.
