Dr. Hurd is an Indianapolis native and a long time Michigan Road Animal Hospital client, having brought his pets to the original office as a young boy in the early 1960's. He graduated from the Purdue University College of Veterinary Medicine in 1986. After practicing out of state for two years he joined Michigan Road Animal Hospital in 1988. Dr. Hurd has a strong interest in internal medicine, clinical pathology, soft tissue surgery and surgeries of the stifle (knee) joint. Dr. Hurd is a practice owner.
Dr. Hurd and his wife have three teenage children-twin sons and a daughter. Their other members of the family include two young (and busy!) cats, Theophilus ("T") and Silas ("Si").
Dr. Klarquist graduated from the Purdue University College of Veterinary Medicine in 2001 and joined our practice thereafter. He also holds advanced degrees in law and environmental science. Dr. Klarquist has special interests in emergency medicine, surgery, and diagnostic ultrasound. He is a practice owner.
Dr. Klarquist and his wife Andrea have two sons. They also have two cats, Ara and Digimon, and a Cavalier King Charles Spaniel, Scout.
Dr. Fletcher finished her internship at the University of Florida's College of Veterinary Medicine in 1988. She joined the veterinary team at Michigan Road Animal Hospital (now M.R.A.H. @ Crooked Creek) in 1997. Her primary areas of interests are ophthalmology, behavioral medicine, and emergency medicine.
She and her husband share their home with their three children, a tabby cat named Lizzie, and their Swissie, Fitzgerald. She and her family enjoy travel, particularly to visit family in Florida and Wisconsin.
