Upon graduation, he moved to North Carolina where he practiced small animal medicine for 17 years, four of which were spent in emergency medicine. Dr. Barnard was also the treasurer for the North Carolina Academy of Small Animal Medicine from 1995-2006 and is currently a member of the AVMA. His special interests include critical care, geriatric medicine, cardiology, dermatology, surgery, and small mammal exotics.
Dr. Barnard married his high school sweetheart Carolyn and they have four children. The family enjoys swimming and outdoor activites together.

Originally from Toronto, Canada, Dr. Graham attended the University of Western on Ontario to obtain his bachelor's of health science degree. Dr. Graham attended veterinary school at Ross University, completing his clinical training at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. After obtaining his DVM, Dr. Graham completed a 1-year rotating internship in medicine and surgery at the VCA Animal Referral and Emergency Center of Arizona.
Dr. Graham began working at Dobson Ranch Animal Hospital immediately following his internship training and couldn't be more excited to finally settle in the wonderful state of Arizona. Outside of work, Dr. Graham enjoys just about everything this beautiful state has to offer but particularly enjoys mountain biking, hiking and camping.
Dr. Hirth received her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree at The Ohio State University in 1996. She loves practicing general small animal medicine and surgery, but, has a particular interest in geriatric medicine and pain management. Aging doesnt mean an animal has to develop or live with pain, says Dr. Hirth.
Dr. Hirth re-located to Arizona from Maryland in 2012. Currently, she lives in Tempe with her husband, son, 2 dogs and cat.
Dr. Casie McReynolds was born and raised in southern Illinois. She attended the University of Illinois Champaign-Urbana for her undergraduate and veterinary studies. After graduation Dr. McReynolds ventured out of the Midwest, eager to escape the cold winters. She found herself in beautiful Arizona, and has enjoyed exploring the state ever since. In her free time she enjoys hiking, traveling, reading, and being with family and friends.
Dr. McReynolds enjoys all aspects of veterinary medicine, but has a special interest in surgery, internal medicine, and diagnostic imaging. She is particularly fond of the human-animal bond, and therefore finds assisting clients in making the best decisions for their pet truly rewarding. Dr. McReynolds looks forward to meeting you and your pets!
Dr. Balmy Fang grew up in the East Valley, moving between Tempe, Gilbert, and Mesa. She attended Wesleyan University in Connecticut, graduating in 2011 with a Bachelor's degree in economics and psychology. She returned to the Valley to take classes at Arizona State University before moving to Colorado where she received her DVM from Colorado State University. In between, she spent 8 months living out of a backpack and traveling around the world. Life back home in Mesa includes her yellow Labrador Nala and Dutch rabbit Plumper.
Dr. Fang is interested in all aspects of small animal medicine. She recently completed her certification in veterinary medical acupuncture and is excited to be able to offer this therapy to your pets. Feel free to ask her any questions!
