Dr. Kiedrowski has been a managing partner at Dove Valley Animal Hospital since October 2003. He was a graduate of West Phoenix High School before attending. Northern Arizona University receiving his Bachelor of Science in Zoology. He finished his collegiate education at Colorado State University receiving his DVM degree in 1989. Post graduation, he returned to Arizona and began his real life training at Camelwest Animal Hospital before taking a position and becoming a partner at Mountain View Animal Hospital where he practiced until 2003. He studied in an internship in Avian / exotic medicine under Dr Susan Clubb in Florida. He has provided consulting work for The Phoenix Zoo, Out Of Africa, Wildlife World Zoo, Arizona Game & Fish, as well as the Animal Kingdom Stores, Pet Pad Stores and The Arizona Reptile Center. He has lectured on exotic animal medicine and husbandry to numerous groups including The Arizona Veterinary Medical Association, The Arizona Veterinary Health Care Team and the International Herpetological Symposium. He spent 6 years on the board of The Arizona Herpetological association and is a consulting veterinarian for The National Turtle and Tortoise Association. He is a member of The Association of Reptile and Amphibian Veterinarians.
He was born in Milwaukee Wisconsin where he learned to chase frogs and snakes in the local swamp. His family moved to Arizona in 1968. As a small child his career choices included Paleontology, Herpetology and Veterinary Medicine. After being informed that all the dinosaurs were dead, Paleontology was dropped from the list. In college he realized that opportunities for herpetologists were very limited so Veterinary Medicine became the top choice.
His hobbies include spending time with his wife and two sons. In his spare time he breeds reptiles and restores old pinball machines to sell or add to his collection.
Dr. Newquist grew up in Phoenix and graduated from Arizona State University in 2001. After earning her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from Colorado State University, she completed a one year internship at an equine medical and surgical facility in Edmond, Oklahoma. Dr. Newquist worked with horses, cats, dogs, a few alpacas and goats, and the occasional llama in eastern Washington State upon completion of her internship. Although she enjoyed working with different species, Dr. Newquist learned she is most passionate about caring for companion animals. Dr. Newquist and her family missed the Sonoran desert, decided to return to Arizona in 2011, and made their home in Cave Creek. Dr. Newquist joined the team at Dove Valley Animal Hospital in November of 2012. Dr. Newquist enjoys all areas of small animal medicine, but has a special interest in soft tissue surgery, dentistry, internal medicine, emergency medicine, and acupuncture.
Dr. Newquist and her husband, Jack, spend their free time tending to their chickens and horses, in addition to a retired barn cat named Melvin and their 3 dogs (Dixie, an aging German shorthair pointer, a noisy Dachshund/Basset Hound cross named Mabel and the reliable brindle mutt Seamus). They also enjoy foreign and domestic travel, hiking, camping, biking, horseback riding and recreational Ping-Pong.
Dr.Leibering has always called Arizona home. Her journey began working at Bell Ridge Animal Hospital as a kennel assistant, which was ultimately her stepping stone to achieving her lifelong dream of becoming a Veterinarian. She went on to complete her Bachelors of Pre-Veterinary Science at The University of Arizona before finding herself in small-town Oklahoma at Oklahoma State University to complete her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine. While she enjoyed her time in quaint Stillwater, OK, the Arizona native was eager to return home to the sunshine, cacti, mountains, friends and family to begin her career at Dove Valley Animal Hospital- making her journey full circle. With a strong commitment and enthusiasm for helping people and their pets live long healthy lives together, she enjoys all aspect of veterinary medicine. Through her schooling she has developed the following professional interests: ophthalmology, exotics, nutrition, behavior, rehabilitation, and surgery.
Away from the hospital, she can be found spending time with her family and friends, outdoors- hiking or camping, at a baseball game or making memories traveling. She shares her home with three Great Danes - Zokie (Mantle) the queen bee and ruler of the household, Wesley (Harlequin) the anxious but derpy lover, and Broxton (Fawn) the all boy baby of the family. Dr. Leibering looks forward to being your family's vet whether your pet is furred, shelled, or scaled.
