Hanging Rock Animal Hospital
Our Clients and patients are the heart of our practice and the reason we are here. At all times our clients and patients will be treated with respect, dignity and compassion. Being of service to our clients and patients is the definition of our purpose and the mission of our practice.
Founded in 1996, Hanging Rock Animal Hospital is committed to providing outstanding patient care in a compassionate and professional environment.
We are an accredited member of the American Animal Hospital Association.
We emphasize preventative care for our patients because we feel it is preferable to keep pets healthy and happy for as long as possible.
Sometimes illness is unavoidable and we have a full range of diagnostic equipment so we can quickly identify the problem and begin appropriate treatment. We want to get your pet feeling better as soon as possible.
Along with traditional Western medicine such as surgery, nutritional management, and pharmaceuticals, we also offer Eastern techniques including acupuncture, homeopathy, and herbal medicine.
All of our doctors aggressively pursue continuing education to stay current with evolving techniques in patient care. Our excellent doctors are assisted by well-trained and caring support staff to provide each patient with individualized and attentive care.
Stop by for a tour and to meet our great team. We appreciate the opportunity to care for your special family members.
Dr Honeycutt attended Virginia Tech for both undergraduate and veterinary school. She knew she wanted to live in southwest Virginia and after working in many different practices decided to open her own in Roanoke. She and her husband Adam opened Hanging Rock Animal Hospital in 1996 with the mission to treat each patient as they wanted their own pets to be treated.
Dr. Honeycutt is committed to progressive medicine where each patient is an individual and clients are partners in their pet's health care. She especially enjoys orthopedics and performs the orthopedic surgeries.
'Dr Todd,' as he is known by his clients and patients, graduated from UC Davis vet school in 1992. Before moving to Virginia he lived in northern California. He enjoys surgery, dentistry, and working with clients to manage chronic illnesses.
In addition, Dr Todd is a Certified Veterinary Acupuncturist and incorporates acupuncture as well as homeopathy, and herbal medicine into his treatment plans. Dr Todd and his wife, Toni, live in Blacksburg with their dogs and cats. They enjoy hiking, reading, and fixing up their new home.
