Welcome to Lashley Animal Hospital!
Our office has had the pleasure of serving the St. Louis Metro East area for over 45 years. Locally owned and operated, we concentrate on the study, treatment, and control of animal injuries and diseases, the treatment of acute and chronic illness, the immunization of healthy animals against disease, surgery, nutrition, radiology, dental care, and preventive care for dogs and cats. We understand that your pets are family, they are your "babies". It's our goal to provide comprehensive veterinary care for your "babies", all while providing care and compassion for some of the most important members of your family: your pets.
Please do not hesitate to contact us at anytime. We look forward to a long and prosperous friendship with you and your pets.
Dr. David E. Lashley, D.V.M. has owned and operated a successful veterinary practice, Lashley Animal Hospital, in the Metro East for more than 45 years focusing on preventative, wellness, and surgical care for dogs and cats as well as the diagnosis, treatment, and cure of sick animals. He is frequently nominated as one of the areas top veterinarians, including repeat nominations as one of the Top 3 Veterinarians in the Belleville News Democrats Readers Choice Awards.
Dr. Lashley is a 1967 graduate of the University of Illinois, College of Veterinary Medicine where he was one of the first veterinarians in the United States to learn and perform a Femoral Head Ostectomy a surgical procedure that removes the femoral head and neck from the femur to alleviate hip pain saving the lives of many large breed dogs who had heretofore been put to sleep when suffering from hip dysplasia.
A native of Belleville, IL, Dr. Lashley has been married to his wife Pamela for 42 years. He is the father of three children; Christopher, Brook, and Sean; and the grandfather to Christopher and wife Elenas two children, Caitlyn and Braeden. As any good veterinarian knows, a house is not a home without a dog and/or cat, Dr. Lashley is also Dad to Paddi, an Irish Setter, and Keleigh, a domestic house cat, and Granddad to Apollo, an English Cream Retriever belonging to daughter Brook, and Christophers Irish Setter, Wyndsor, and cat, Solei.
Dr Jennifer Fuller is excited to join the Lashley Animal Hospital family. She is a 2004 graduate of University of Illinois School of Veterinary Medicine. She grew up in Union county Illinois working with both large and small animals from a young age as a veterinary assistant. She got her undergraduate education at her Dads alma mater Murray State University before working as a technician while going to veterinary school. She has enjoyed living and working in the Metro east area for over a dozen years and now practices exclusively on companion animals. She is experienced and well equipped to provide all aspects of companion animal medicine including preventative care, soft tissue surgery, disease management and end of life consultations. Her particular areas of interest are managing skin conditions and diseases of hormone imbalances.
During her personal time, Dr. Fuller enjoys spending time with her husband, dog Sadie, and cat Onry at their home in Millstadt. She also enjoys getting out of doors for a weekend of camping or hiking.
Dr. Fuller provides care to new and existing patients Tuesday, Thursday, Friday 8 a.m. 6 p.m. and every other Saturday 8 a.m. 12 p.m. The hospital is open Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. and Sat 8 a.m. to 1 p.m.
