Dr. Gib Benschoter
Dr. Gib Benschoter

Dr. Benschoter, our owner and head veterinarian, came to Mission Road January 1, 2005. A KC native and KSU graduate, Dr. Benschoter moved to Orange County, CA after graduation and ran a 24-hour emergency hospital. Once back home, he worked as an associate for a couple of years before moving to Mission Road. Dr. Benschoter places great importance on client education and preventative care, and has a special interest in dermatology and surgery. Married to Jenny in August of 2009, they share their home with 4 sons and a labradoodle named Harry.

Dr. Jenny Tate
Dr. Jenny Tate

Dr. Jenny Tate joined the Mission Road team as an associate veterinarian in January of 2008 having practiced in the KC area for 7 years. A Notre Dame graduate in English, Dr. Tate decided to pursue her love of animals and followed that dream to Colorado State University. After graduating from veterinary school, she moved to the KC area to begin practicing. Here, she met her husband Andy, and they now share their home with two little ones and two dogs. Both avid runners, Dr. Tate and her husband enjoy running marathons competitively.
