Dr. Dianne Beal, DVM
Dr. Dianne Beal truly loves her animal patients as well as the people who care for them. Animals have always been a central part of her life and her goal has been not only to serve her clients and their pets, but the community as well. Originally from upstate NY, Dr. Beal earned her undergraduate degree from the College of St. Rose in Albany and a Masters in Cell Biology at East Carolina University.
After a career in research she returned to school to follow her dream of becoming a veterinarian. She obtained her DVM from Iowa State University and completed a portion of her training in the UK, attending the University of Edinburgh, Scotland. Following graduation, Dr. Beal completed a small animal internship with a heavy focus on emergency medicine at Regional Veterinary Referral Center in Springfield, VA, and has worked in small animal practice both in CT and RI. Dr. Beal has a soft spot for her older patients and a special interest in dermatology.
Dr. Beal resides in North Stonington with her husband, Clayton (a retired CG officer), their beloved hound Dobby, pit bull, Rosie, and their cats Holstein and Puck. In her spare time Dianne enjoys exploring the outdoors, belly dance, good books and movies, and making and selling jewelry.
