Pima North Animal Hospital in Scottsdale, AZ is a well-known full service companion animal hospital in the north Scottsdale/Carefree/Cave Creek area with a reputation for excellence. The doctors and staff are committed to providing excellence in veterinary care and service throughout the lifetime of your pet. Our services and facilities are designed to provide preventive care for healthy pets, early detection and treatment of disease as your pet ages and complete diagnostic, medical, dental and surgical care as necessary during his or her lifetime.
-We also work with the best in veterinary specialists when specialty referral is indicated.
-We proudly offer a full grooming staff with two gentle and experienced groomers and their assistants, and we gladly groom cats -- even 'scaredy' cats!
-Our boarding facility is completely climate controlled. Guest 'rooms' are clean and pressure-washed daily with fresh bedding provided to all guests. Dogs are walked 4 times daily and additional play times in our climate-controlled play room can be arranged.
-Cats have their own private boarding area complete with a large fish tank for their viewing pleasure.
Multiple choices in sizes of cat condos are available.

Dr. Walker is our Medical Director. A graduate of Ohio State University College of Veterinary Medicine, she went the extra step to complete a rotating internship and now has 25 years of experience in veterinary medicine. Dr. Walker is also a 24 year veteran of the U.S. Army Reserve Veterinary Corps. In fact, she volunteered and served on active duty during Desert Storm!
Dr. Walker has special interests in dentistry and its importance in the general health of her patients, internal medicine, behavior and surgery (including laser) with a focus on patient comfort through multi-modal pain management.
She has a passion for German shepherds. In her spare time, Dr. Walker enjoys horseback riding, training and hiking with her dogs. Dr. Walker is also a volunteer with the Flying Samaritans.
Dr. David Taetle is a Graduate of the University of Pennsylvania School of Veterinary Medicine and has been in practice in the greater Phoenix area since 2005. His interests include internal medicine, dermatology, dentistry and surgery. Dr. Taetle is committed to offering only the highest standard of care for all of his patients.
He also believes that client education is of paramount importance in order to permit clients to make educated decisions and provide the best care possible for their pets.
Dr. Taetle and his wife have two sons, two cats and Haille, the Papi-poo. When not working, Dr. Taetle enjoys reading, movies, outdoor activities and spending time with his family!
Dr. Bret Andrea joined Pima North Animal hospital in 2014. He is originally from Buffalo, NY and attended Penn State University for his undergraduate studies and obtained his veterinary degree at Cornell University. Upon graduation, he completed a one year internship in small animal medicine and surgery at Oradell Animal Hospital in New Jersey. Prior to moving to Arizona in 2013, Dr. Andrea worked for several years as a general practitioner in San Diego, CA.
Dr. Andrea's interests include internal medicine, radiology, neurology, dermatology, and emergency medicine. He is dedicated to ensuring that his clients have a good understanding of their animals conditions so they can make the best decisions for their family.
In his free time, Dr. Andrea enjoys hiking, biking, running, movies, attending concerts and most of all, spending time with his family including his wife and their two dogs, Finnegan and Olive.
